Indonesian Manpower Minister Yassierli has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enhancing job training and placement opportunities for people with disabilities. Despite existing policies, challenges persist, including limited job placement and few companies employing disabled workers.

To address these issues, the government is implementing strategic measures such as establishing special work units and bolstering regional Disability Service Units. Workshops are being organized to foster collaboration among stakeholders to create more inclusive job opportunities.

The Australian Chargé d’Affaires, Gita Kamath, highlighted that providing employment opportunities for disabled individuals is crucial not only as a human rights issue but also for economic growth and innovation.
